Venue for very small wedding

hello everyone myself and my partner want to get married in ireland just the two of us, does anyone know anywhere in ireland that can accomadate for two prople to get married without guests. small and intimate please

At the very minimum you need witnesses (I think two) to the marriage so it cannot be just the two of you. If you have witnesses you can get married wherever you want.

Ah thank u for reply not every hotel caters for a small wedding though ðŸ˜¢

I would presume that if it is just the two of you (plus witnesses), you could approach a place you like and ask them if you can rent a room for the hour/half hour? then book a meal with them too. In this day and age, hotel's will want all the money they can get, I can't see them turning away a paying customer. It would be easier with just the two of you then having a wedding with say 10-15 people who would need to take up alot more room.

Thank u for reply I have messaged a few but a lot don't do any less than 50 that's why I'm asking does anyone know anywhere that does small, doesn't matter where as long as in Ireland

Would a registery office not make more sense then a hotel if there's only two of you? I think they will allow two people in the office to act as your witnesses, but you'll have to check!

We were thinking getting married in the hotel have a meal there and stay for a week as our honeymoon as well, I understand what you're saying but that was kinda the idea we had planned ðŸ˜Š

I don't think this is a service you'll find advertised but I'm sure there are hotels that will accommodate you (for Sunday -Thursday anyway!).

You should look at The lodge at Ashford Castle. Significantly cheaper than Ashford, but a lovely hotel in its own right, and shares a lot of the amenities. I think they do civil ceremonies there, and i don't see why they wouldn't let you have a wedding there, particularly if you were willing to have it on a midweek day. Lovely place to chill out and enjoy the lakes and countryside for a few days or a week. Some great rooms and an absolutely showstopping restaurant

I'd recommend Danny Minnies Restaurant in Donegal..I know they accommodate small weddings (though 2 people is really small). It's a lovely intimate restaurant & they also have a couple of guest rooms..couldn't hurt to give them a call. Don't have their number but you should be able to find them at www.gaothdobhair.ie

And lot of places have a 1 wedding a day policy so if they have a wedding already then they won't let you use the restaurant

Try Brooklodge in Wicklow. They have a small church on site that may not be being used on the day. Ideal location to spend a few days and you wouldn't be using up the main function room for your wedding service.

Gregans Castle, Roundwood House or some of the hidden Ireland venues should work for you. They wouldn't normally have a wedding as they are too small so they should be delighted to assist you.

We got married in Roundwood House and it was amazing! We had 14 people total, but I remember them telling me that they'd had a 2 person wedding a couple of weeks before ours. They could not have been nicer to work with in arranging everything for us, so if it's the kind of space you're looking for I'd totally drop Hannah an email.
