Well they are not admiring him for his plans to help the lgbt community/ his business "success" or his bravery in taking America towards renewable energy. So yes, in general we know what floats the boat of trump voters. It is worth the effort to try and understand why people voted for him, even when the answers are rather ugly. Plenty of analysis out there if you wana read it. Thats what gives us this "general" picture.

Marion, you didnt seem to happy to talk about your own publicly funded wages that time when you begrudgingly allowed yourself to be interviewed by Mike Murphy.

And in general, Marion has being pro trump in her coverage. Last week discussing sunday papers she was saying that the experts and media were being quote "hysterical". This is a key flag word for.the alt right which they deploy anytime a genuine issue is raised. Imagine the alt right take on fdr speech after pearl harbour. Fdr "day of infamy etc etc". Alt right/infowars / trump fans "ah leftist politically correct regressive hysteria".

How in god's name are Sinn Fein STILL able to look down their noses and make accusations of corruption against other parties given what went on with Daithí McKay. I really wish they would be held to account more. And the same on their hypocritical position on Garda Maurice McCabe, given that they are pals with the guys that shot dead another Garda McCabe. They make me sick.

I agree about the disinterest. It seem very contrary to her usual narrative, about women not getting a fair break. I don't think she would have been impressed if any of the male presenters had treated two admirable business women with such disinterest. Honestly, Northern Ireland, more trouble than it's worth. Everyone up north talks about a vote to join the Republic- but if we had that vote down here- how many of us would want that place back. Dysfunctional/sectarian etc. The EU was the only hope in that as EU thrived the old internal tribal borders would matter less and less. We can only hope for a hard border and let UK deal with the mess they created up there.

You're opinions are so poorly formed its difficult to know where to begin ,for a start at least 50 % of people living in the north are NOT talking "about a vote to join the republic ", try with getting basic facts correct first and then develop an opinion around these facts.

Marian accuses CNN of bias against her "President Trump", and goes on to admire his communication skills and use of Twitter. Her true colours shining true. At least CNN and now partly fox are questioning and doing their job. Marian would not recognize that!

Well- many many people up North have talked about a poll for years. Anyway- regardless of the decision they make or do not make up there- we should be given the decision down here- with all facts very clear including how much it would cost us if such a union was to go ahead.

There are 8'000 People employed at the BMW Plant in Munich , probably the most automated plant in the world , yes the painting , heavy lifting and welding is done by machines but theres a team of six young people on each car as well , they' re just not doing the traditionally dangerous / hazardous parts of the job , Marion needs to be sent on a visit to the real world to realise that ' the computers and machines ' aren't going to take all our jobs , she's wheeled out the same old claptrap several times when talking about the so-called 'rust belt'....again , research ,Marion, research.

yes automation does not replace ALL jobs- however, given the types of jobs that moved from USA into Mexico/eastern Europe and now Asia- these are the job types that Trump is promising to bring back. As all the experts point out- impossible- but if forced via legislation, Trump would drive up cost of ordinary goods and services so much in the states that any minor gains made for workers would be wiped out by inflation. Someone needs to call BS on his fairytale economics.

The most shocking element of our agri-exports is the effort to get Chinese young mothers away from breastfeeding and onto drinking the milk intended for young calves. We celebrate this as some progress when all we are doing is exporting our bad dietary and health practices abroad- in the name of greed and money of our farming classes.
