I drove many and never got anywhere close.

Bit like the 1.6 primers they drank also as body was so heavy really needed 1.8.

I had the Primer 2.0 GT. Very thirsty in town. On a long run it would hit around 40mpg though. Lovely to drive.

Most likely their name won't be on it but honestly don't let that put you off completely unless completely dodgy.

Definitely meet at house don't deal in a car park or so on.

Get the car thoroughly checked out by a mechanic or someone who knows their cars.

I've sold a good few cars years ago never had any issues but weren't dodgy so suppose that worked well for buyers.

If they actually had a search function that could sort cars by having an NCT or not, and having a search function to sort by the length of the NCT they'd be doing a lot better.

Classic tax (€56 per year) for any car over 30 years old, so not for another 8 years...

Classic insurance - you have to give it a try - ring all insurers and brokers. I have had many cars of 15-20 years old on classic insurance (as the only car I have insured), but generally the car needs to be 20 years old, the owner 25 or 30 and needs to have a normal car insured too. And most insurance companies offering classic insurance, don't like Japanese cars

They have added a country registration sort, but not 100% effective. They should insist on the cars registration even if it is not for display. However, I applaud them for adding that because I found it a pia to look at cars advertised as if they were Irish that turn out to be not Irish registered.

Armed with the reg no, one can do a few checks before wasting time calling the seller.

Conspiracy time: they don't do this because the guys selling cars with no NCT are their best customers. Those balls of gick stay up for months so DD makes more off them!

Paid by Paypal through their desktop website. Didn't notice any option that said different methods were different prices but I could have missed that.

Just checked the pricing now and it is currently a flat fee of 5 euro for basic car adverts. It is an extra 1 euro if you pay by phone.
Not the 7 and 6 euro you and I paid for the exact same service!

Nice car and decent price.

Do yourself a favour though and take out the photos of the scratches and dings. They look so minor and irrelevant for a 04 reg car. Also take out the mention of a new headlight.

I wonder if boiling water would take out the dent?
