It probably comes with totem installed.
I prefer smplayer though. Three line copy and paste to install on Ubuntu variants, two for fedora.

I am yet to be confused by it, it's very simple. I'd be delighted it Apple suddenly integrated yum as a package manager but until then I'm pleased with homebrew.

I allegedly have yum installed but it can't find half the packages. Granted, I haven't tried too hard to solve the problem. I tried to install binaries of vlc but needed lua; yum can't find lua... I'm stubbornly not spending too much time figuring it out because it shouldn't be this hard to install a bloody video player.

I don't think you really get Linux, you're stubbornly supposed to spend too much time to figure something out even when it shouldn't be hard :pac:
