Haven't seen it mentioned before but at the end of the 1-2-Switch party trailer, two up from the left+bottom, you can see what looks to be another mini-game reveal. Beating your chest like a gorilla.

I don't have any problem with them releasing ports of Wii U games at all, as long as they don't dominate the release schedule. It makes business sense if they were very good games. I had a Wii U, I bought a certain game on there, I played it and continue to play it. I wouldn't feel like I'm losing out at all, there's an argument to be made for Mario Kart battle mode certainly, but I don't feel entitled for there not to be ports. Some would like to bash the Wii U for the failure it was, but at the same time wanting to hold on to the very good games on the system exclusively, why not have these great games to a potentially bigger audience while still being able to play them if you want.

Rayman was announced ages ago anyway, why the thing about it now?

I highly doubt splatoon 2 was in dev for wii u the first was only out 2 years ago and they likely had the switch in dev then. Its not like botw which was first announced 4 years ago.

Arms , fire emblem warriors and snipperclips would also count.

Looking increasingly unlikely I will be able to afford my switch in two and a half weeks, might need to sell my 3ds collection, my Nes Mini and my Wii U to raise the €500 needed for the neon switch, Zelda master edition and a pro controller, the joys of having no job and no money, might start a go fund page.

I was a little tempted to cancel my pre order over the weekend, as 420 euro odd is a lot of money. But I'm still hyped, Zelda will be more than enough for me for at least 6 weeks, and we don't get new Ninty consoles that often.

With Ubisoft a lot of games released in recent years wouldn't be able to run on switch. The Division, Watch_Dogs 2, Ghost Recon & For Honor imo would not run on a Switch without significant caveats.
Maybe we will get BG&E 2, Mario/Rabbids RPG & the Assassins Creed Egypt game though.

Not sure why u keep referencing other completely different consoles. The thing is, that's why I didn't pounce on a PS4 either.

I remember a time when people bought consoles to access loads of games. Now people seem happy with the console and not much else.

Zero choice, the ultimate consumer hell.

Good for you that you didn't jump for a PS4 at launch.

You're comparing the PS4 and Switch over and over, a simply ridiculous comparison which you're gonna lose on every time.

Your current comparison only makes sense if the Wii U was an equal in success to the PS3. It was nowhere near that. Hence why Nintendo are playing catchup massively and needed a big first year.

They seemed to have missed that point completely, and some of their hardcore fans seem completely oblivious to it too!

I'll be quite happy with the Switch in the first year anyway. Zelda, Arms, Disagea, Binding of Isaac, Mario Kart, Splatoon 2, Mario Odyssey, Rime, Sonic Mania, Yooka-Laylee, Ultra Street Fighter, FIFA (if it's a decent enough version) maybe also Xenoblade although I don't think it'll make this year, possibly some unannounced as yet titles and a few I'll naturally discover as well. Not to mention importing any games that may be released in Japan first/only.
