'Ercole' is a very common name in Italy, translating as Hercules. As is Cesare, meaning Caesar. Does give me a giggle...

You're in a thread specifically about **** names giving out about people talking about sh*t names. People substituting letters for the sake of it falls under that category. Chloe is a lovely name. Khloe instead of Chloe is just gimpy.

Tbh, I'm inclined to lean towards all the random Ks and Ys and Xs being shoved willynilly into names is a bit daft. Personal opinion, ofc, one thing this thread has shown is that no-one agrees on whether or not a name is "nice".

Mind you, I like Katherine and Kathleen better than Catherine (although 50:50 there) and Cathleen. Then again, they've been around a lot longer and I'm inured to them.

But the trend of just taking a C or I (or S) and replacing it with K, Y and Z/X leads to some names that I suspect most kids will end up resenting.

My pet dislike is Khrystal.

I mean it is your most distinguible feature, formally, so adhering to conformity with regard a letter that is usually used in past forms, I mean, I don't get it, once it isn't an absurd alteration! Some names are just ridiculous titles, others bizarre stuff like Gary Neville's father being called Neville Neville (genuinely!) but Khloe/Addyson/Kathlynn (a variation of Katherine and Lynn), I mean what is so absurd/gimpy about those?

All names evolve over times, I guarantee you its very likely yours has changed at some time from another variation.
