...which wouldn't bother me in the slightest, it all depends on the condition of the car. Looks straight enough. And it's a Merc, which I think can be got for under €500 when you take the tax into account.

I know people aren't put off by high mileage but I always wonder not about the engine, but about all the other stuff, shocks, springs, alternators, starters, fuel pumps, that is probably worn out for the 2nd time on these.

Dash or instrument cluster? The dashboard was one of the better quality dashboards of that era and while the instrument cluster was lacking in features it really was no worse than most cars of the time.

Remember even vw's much vaunted golf didn't have much on it's instrument cluster at the time with a big clock taking up most of the cluster.
