Welcome to the Mayo GAA discussion thread.

This is one of the most active forums on Boards.ie. As a result, discussion can get quite heated. But there are certain things posters must realise are simply not OK to post:

- Personal abuse of anyone be they other posters, players, managers, referees, pundits etc. Any personal abuse will result in an infraction or a ban.

- Rumours about players'/managers'/anyone's personal lives. This should be self explanatory. Apart from being a dickish thing to do, it can lead to legal trouble for Boards.

- Trolling. Again, self explanatory. Trolls will be banned for a long time.

- Accusations of trolling. Report a post if you suspect it to be trolling. Do not call a troll out on thread as this will be considered back seat modding.

- Speculation into the identity of another poster. This is a site-bannable offence.

This list is not exhaustive. Either myself or another mod may add to this as we see fit. Just because a certain behaviour isn't listed, doesn't mean you can't be banned for it.
The general Boards.ie rule of Don't be a Dick always applies.

If you feel a post breaks the rules, simply click the red triangle underneath the post in question to report the post and a mod will deal with it as they see fit.

So be civil to each other and happy posting.

Big crowd. Just shows the demand for county football. All the games on TV tonight looked like they had good crowds.

The Mayo forwards were very disappointing again as per normal, big improvement needed by them if they are to stay in Division 1.

Dissapointing but not hugely surprising, Monaghan named a strong team and we couldn't quite match it. Newcombe looked good overall which is a bonus, had one great block too. Kirby can play better than he did tonight and Clarke showed why he's the best keeper in the country, his anticipation of play is superb.

Referee was crap, was far too happy to let the scrapping carry on.

Would Conor Loftus have been available tonight? You'd have to think he's worth giving a run of games in the league.

It's EirSport2 HD. There are two other games in the SD versions of the channels.

Kirby is not a county player I'd put him in the same league as O'Shea strong as an ox put no football in him.

Pretty much exactly what you want in the league. You want to look at a few new guys while playing a good few from last years team.
