Canada is beside the US. It's not on the other side of the world. We are on the other side of the Ocean and Boards is awash with people cheeringleading Trumps idiocy racism on here.

If you have ever been there you would know that there are plenty of US residents and they see themselves as North Amercians as well as Canadians especially in cities like Toronto.

I'm sure the Québec police will release information later today when they have it. It's a french heritage judicial legal system with a civil code. So it does not take it all that long to get to the state where they'll have a suspect in custody.

You think a normal guy woke up yesterday, saw trump's actions in a different country and said "I'm now radicalised".

For all we know this is a inter Muslim attack.

The Mirror are reporting that one was Moroccian and shouted Allah Akbar so maybe I am wrong. If I am I will say so.

There was a shooting at a mosque in Zurich last month. I wonder how people could attribute that to Trump?

One is a local from Quebec, the other shooter is of Moroccan origin.
They shouted Allahu Akbar as they opened fire inside the mosque.
One of the shooters rang the police saying he felt bad for what he did.
The police came and arrested them.

Completely understandable. What other conclusion could you be lead to draw when the PM of Canada described it as a terrorist attack and the Indo peppers it's article about the incident with stuff that heavily implies it was a right wing attack:

What other conclusion are you to draw? Of course they did exactly the same thing after the truck attack in Germany when that story was accompanied and linked with an article about a shooting in a mosque in Zurich, which it also heavily implied was right wing extremism when in fact the shooter was a member of the mosque.

And they have the nerve to bleat about fake news....

They want death and carnage. I can't see how Boards users give it to them. I'm guessing you mean, people are perpetuating divisive ideas and assisting ISIS in pitting the Muslim and non Muslim worlds against each other?

If so, I don't really buy that theory. Well, I think it's overstated. Obviously, indiscriminate hatred is not going to help anything, but criticising aspects of the religion is not playing into their hands. When ISIS released a hostage, he said that is their goal, but how can you trust anything he says..either he has Stockholm syndrome or they've fed him whatever lines they want him to disseminate to the world.
