Well the wiiu sold 2.5-3 million in its first 6 weeks worldwide.
The Wii did around 1.5 in its first week.

The lad in Gamestop told me you can get the 20% off just when you're picking up your order. I'm thinking of getting the pro controller with it. That or another pair of Joycons. However if I get another pair of Joycons I'll have to get another grip

Just tuning into the Direct and this phone game looks like it might be OK for a phone game, but really in the week where the Switch was announced, should they be focusing on this? Could have got it out of the way last week.

EDIT - Annnnd it's over. Was hoping that they would announce ports of the 3DS games for the Switch.

Yeah, which is a bummer for me. I loved the idea of a portable console you docked at home, it seems for Nintendo it's a home console that you can take with you. I was hoping it would get the portable experiences that the 3DS gets, but so far it's all big screen console stuff.

Still don;t understand that. Why advertise the portable feature if they're not going to emphasise it? Developing Fire Emblem Warriors for both Switch and NN3DS just shows they're not sure of the portable part themselves.

Binding Of Issac is a launch game, which is nice. Doubt we'll get they physical version the US is getting doe.

Was sure FE: Echoes was a switch title for the last hour, same thing happened with Warriors which I thought was an RPG for days last week. Pity but at least they are making a traditional new FE for 2018.
Amazing how that series has recovered as pre Awakening it was on its last legs apparently. Even the mobile game looked alright imo

Here's some more information on it, seems it's not just a port of the Xbox 360 HD Remix game. Not sure how well it will play without a d-pad or proper arcade stick though - sounds like the pro controller or the Hori stick he mentions might be a necessary purchase (if you're that into SF games I guess).

Price will be crucial for that Street Fighter game. It's basically a small update of the PS3 version of HD Remix and they need to price it accordingly. If it's anything more than €19.99, someone screwed up.

I think you underestimate both Fire Emblem and mobile together, it could be a huge game for Nintendo in the long run. Having the knock on from the buzz about the Switch, it was a good time to announce it imo.

Wait.... Wut.... A proper Fire Emblem game for 2018 on the switch. Delighted, path of radiance was and is one of the best games I ever played. Radiant Dawn was excellent but POR was special. Warriors for fall 2017 too This is awesome.

A fire Emblem mobile game has me more and more convinced the 3DS will be phased out and the Switch/Mobile will be Nintendo's platforms.

Good stuff.

No I get it, really, it could be a big hit and it's totally suited to mobile. I just think that in the same week when they've left people disappointed with the launch line-up of their new console, announcing a major franchise is coming for a different platform in a misstep. Particularly when you also announce that it won't be until 2018 at the earliest that the series will be coming to Switch.

Personally I had hoped that they'd announce a new Fire Emblem for the Switch and have ports of the Fates games to hold people over until then.

I do have the switch pre ordered, but I also want to get rid of my Xb1, Kinect and couple of games.
