No its optional to tell users tbh. Generally its less hassle to let people know why

Thanks for the info, that all seems reasonable just thought that mods would tell you if/why they removed your post.

It's optional, and no onus to inform the user either. Sometimes it's done when a post is off topic and would drag a thread off topic, sometimes it's for abuse, sometimes it's to nip something in the bud before a flame war starts, sometimes a mod is being nice and removes a post rather than issue bans/infractions, most times it's for a breach of the charter and sometimes a post is potentially libellous and can't be permitted to remain. Maybe PM the mod(s) in the relevant forum if you believe it shouldn't have been removed.

Yeah that's about the only issue I have with it. You need to set up payment details to set up the account even if you've no interest in downloading anything but free apps. It's not the end of the world, but it is a bit annoying.

I'm fairly certain it was the same setting up my OHs ipad mini last year.

This icloud thing might be new though.

I'm assuming you have an Apple account and you're downloading from the App Store? I've never needed more than that. Never been asked for an iCloud login for apps or anything like that. I just set up my Apple account on iTunes and that was it. Admittedly that was years ago though. Have always found iOS on my phone and iPad to be a doddle.
