Im pretty sure the 3 date thing was introduced to Ireland from America via Friends.

In fact before Friends did Irish people even call them dates? Was it not called 'meeting'?

Didn't courting became dating sometime in the early 70s. Is there a new dating? Hard to keep up.

A former boss of mine took up the Americanism 'seeing'. In spite of him not being American nor ever having set foot in the US apart from the occasional holiday ('vacation'.) Used to ask his staff (all at least a decade younger than him), 'Are you seeing anyone these days?'

He really was a tiresome person at times. Gave me my first proper job, so I guess I shouldn't be too harsh on the dude.

That's ridiculous. Not many attractive women these days let out in first few dates, they've an abundance of choice and too much risks out there. You're basically ruling out most people worth having. The chase is fun too.

when i was a college i would have fully agreed with that, if by the end of the second date she wasn't putting out i lost interest a bit to be honest. If it was put out there at any stage that it was totally off the table for whatever reason then id of checked out strait away.

Havn't been on a date for 5 years now though, my friends with benefits thing turned serious and that was the end of that at the end of College

I really beg to differ. Plenty attractive women put out on the first date. Women have the same sexual needs and desires as men. It may seem that women are more conservative towards sex but it really isn't true in the same way all men aren't just looking for the ride. If the woman doesn't want to put out fine by me, but I'm not going to wait around for her to decide what she wants.

Haha if you say so. We must have different tastes. If she's putting out with you on the first date she likely is with everyone else, so those types would naturally carry the largest threat of catching something off.

Not nessessarily true. I've had a couple of ONS, and would have little to no interest on anything more than just filling a need at that particular time. If i liked someone a bit more in that I wanted something more than a quick ride, I'd hold off

I doubt it, if they were dirty women a date wouldn't even be necessary. A date takes time and effort, a quick f*ck is a case of a few messages on Tinder or a stroll into a club or bar. And I'm sad you think a woman who tries to fulfil her natural sexual needs is automatically seen as STD carrying and dirty.

Obviously not in every case, but you're definitely putting yourself at a far greater risk if you have a policy to only ever sleep with women who let out on the first date. That's undoubtedly true.

Never said I only sleep with women who put out on the first date. I said there's no date 2 unless there's sex on date 1. Maybe you've a different system but I only ask a girl on a date if I actually like her and want to pursue her seriously. Whether she puts out on the first date is just part of the screening process. Some people like partners with money, a certain type of job, certain hobbies, I'm big into sexually liberated women. I've no time for beating around the bush. Guys who spend tonnes of time and money on dates are making a fool of themselves. Guys who talk to a woman to get the number to ask her out to go on several dates without pushing things are making a complete arse of things. I'm a sexual guy and naturally I'm attracted to women like that. You seem to be inferring that women who wait for a while don't have any sexual desires or arent liberated. It's absolutely not the case. Women can have a huge sexual appetite but also be sensible in picking who she wants it with and not jumping into bed with a stranger. All I'm saying is in mine and my friends experiences, women who are the most desirable nearly never let out early, but as I say we probably have different tastes.
