I've been thinking something similar to this while watching the US election coverage. All these comedians and commentators calling Trump supporters idiots and morons is only intensifying their "Us vs Them" attitude and securing their vote for Trump.

Maybe some of you worldly folk could answer this, tried to order something from a UK site earlier but the payment got declined for reasons I'm not entirely sure of. I don't have any outstanding orders on the website, never got a confirmation mail, etc etc. But the transaction is showing up as pending now on my internet banking. Is this normal? Will it go away at some point? The value of the transaction has been taken away from my current account balance, I'd quite like it returned.

It's either that they took your order but don't deliver to Ireland OR they took your order and have parked the cash but aren't sure they have stock until someone comes in OR they took your order and want someone to confirm the purchase because maybe your a new account from a different country and they need to make sure there is no fraud afoot.

I'd say it will confirm tomorrow morning when people get in.

I was trying to give them a parcel motel so I'm guessing the payment didn't go through as they knew my card was Irish. I don't think they deliver to Ireland. We'll see anyway, thanks.

No.

Though I've used all sorts of things as my billing address in the past on various websites and it never seems to make any difference.
