This is getting ridiculous - had a dream last night that the NX had been announced while I was on the road and offline. Got home half way through some reveal and saw a new Starfox game clip - was a 3D run & gun platformer with old school graphics (a la Streets of Rage) - looked cool. Not out til late 2017. :pac:

It could just be informing retailers of their scant Christmas lineup, hence the Christmas is cancelled line. But hopefully they drop some NX info in there as well.

It probably didn't need anymore 'confirmation' about the NX being a sort of 'hybrid' console, but Pokemon Co's Chief Executive said this:

“The NX is trying to change the concept of what it means to be a home console device or a hand-held device. We will make games for the NX.”

Although not a player of Pokemon, it will be good for the console to have a strong Pokemon showing.

I think this is the most revealing statement anybody has made about the NX. Information has been so scant and tight lipped that for the CEO of such a huge company to finally reveal some crucial information hopefully means the reveal is nearly here.

I suppose it's part of the expectation.
Not only are we awaiting the reveal of the NX...
But we have a reasonable expectation of seeing what games to look forward to both in terms of at NX launch and during the remainder of 2017.
Also, we can expect the various 3rd parties to let us know what they have on the way.
There must be a COD title in there, I'm hoping a trilogy of the Modern Warfare titles in remastered form for starters, an Assassins Cry Dogs game from Ubi and who knows from the rest.

Was watching a video on Larry Bundy's channel about games cancelled for stupid reasons. That was on it as marketing couldn't decide what character to put on the box. The Streets of Rage 4 cancellation was crazy as well.

Well it's looking more likely September is out for any reveal. I'm trying to remember - is this lack of official information normal for a new console release? Not a single bit of it about the machine with less than 6 months til release (I'm not talking about Eurogamer insider info, straight from Nintendo is what I mean). No price point, no features, no launch games except Zelda & Just Dance (or was there more?).

You'd think they'd want to start getting people hyped for it...
