The only county Robert to have won a SHC in every decade since the formation of the GAA.

Cats are class hurlers but they'll never have that.

No because in 1887, it was reported that hurling in Kilkenny was the worst in the country as Kilkenny was a cricket county, as everyone from the rich to the poor played cricket.
Yet 17 years later Kilkenny won their first All-Ireland and never looked back.

The best team won today, no controversy, so it is easy to accept the loss but I have not fully forgiven that person who while doing a paid wrote 'Up Tipp' on a wall on one of my farm buildings years ago

Cricket was a big game in Tipp too back in the day. Brendan Cummins still plays it.

Listen the Cats over the past 17 years or so of Cody have being like a machine, it's the greatest run any hurling county will ever do.

As everybody I spoke to in Tipp tonight said, To be the best you have to beat the best.
