Which of course translates to the same message as always, defend it v Aldo or lose the title but placing the emphasis firmly on McGregor. Seems pretty clear the UFC won't be backing down in this one, the smart move if he wants to be a two weight champ is to go defend it, and then 55 title shot if he is successful, if it means that much to him its worth the cut one last time, if not just let it go. He can retire the belt while never being beaten in the division and his legacy is intact, of course it would be better if he had a defence or two, but its not the end of the world. I think he needs to beat a top 5 LW, in a LW fight before he gets a shot as is, but of course I do expect him to be jumped to the top of the queue. He has earned the right to choose his path, and it is obviously a big decision, it comes down to whether they feel he can make that cut again. He has never missed weight yet so you would be hard pressed to bet against him in that regard and it looks like a big task for any of the FW's to beat him, up to him whether he wants to put himself through it or not.

Aldo has been undefeated champions for so long and lost the first fight in 13 seconds. He has now beat Edgar and is now Interim champion and Conor hasn't defended the belt once, for Conors camp to say that there is no challenges at featherweight is bs. I would love to see Conor v Aldo 2 because I think it would be a much better fight, now I would put Conor as favourite but for sure Aldo could win that fight. Everyone seems to be forgetting just who Aldo is and how good he is.

It would be his most frequently used retort in all the fight build up and a likely world tour to promote it. Although the 13 second thing can never be taken away from Conor if he falls into a mindset that the Aldo rematch is going to be that easy then his camp might not go so well. Its actually a very dangerous match up for Conor in that you have a former champ who is hurting for revenge and a current champ who coming off the back of the Diaz fight may well underestimate just how hard Aldo 2 would be.

Aldo is the latter. Cruz and Pettis have the potential to be the former down the line. But I think Conor will be focused on LW then. GSP would be 5 rounds of Conor being manhandled. Serves no purpose for me. Woodley at 170. Not sure if that one was serious.

We gotta make this third fight brother, even if it's in his back yard, what do they call that place, Croke Park? Nate: Is that where he lives, Croke Park? He's always talking about some park. Chael: That's the big stadium in Ireland You don't care where it's at, do ya? Nate: Ah no, eh, I like California, personally.
