Considering they said they were level 24 a couple of weeks ago and extrapolating from there they would have had to have started the game only a day or two before that and making around 300,000 XP per day. That would put them on level 34 around now.

Doesn't add up then. If you started on the first day you posted and you just hit level 27 now, the calculator would give you 10 months.

Yeah I'm level 27 and getting 1 year, 8 months as I said. 2 months is pretty much impossible. Don't be too harsh on the guy, he most likely just entered the date incorrectly.

You probably entered the month and day the other way round like I did. That had me stumped for a while too

You need to enter month 1st, then day, then year i.e. 07/25/2016 for the 25th of July, 2016.

Ah it's says 2 years now and I see it must have been to level 30! But sure I'll beat that with lucky eggs and general awesomeness!

If you're planning on attacking and defending gyms, spread the stardust amongst your top Pokemon so you can place them in gyms in order to collect as many coins as possible. This is what I'm doing and it's working pretty well so far. Just make sure your Pokemon have high IVs to make it worthwhile

19 years (or 6931 days) to level 40 hahaha

In fairness though I have been saving all my evolutions to do a lucky egg run. Have 37 at the minute and many, many of them will be new pokemon to me. Gonna wait until I have 50-60 evolutions I think.

Castletown House grounds has rotated to a Machop nest. 4 spawn points confirmed over several days:

Short lawns in front of the House
Welcome Sign pokestop beside the main car park
Main street end of the avenue
Beside the Gazebo pokestop

I've never found a nest, or even a reliable single species spawn point. Apart from verminsprings

I kind of prefer the lucky bag spawn points though.

Does the Pokemon in the egg you get depend on where the Pokestop is? (I know each egg is pre determined once you get the egg).
I just cannot get a Grimer, Lickitung, Doduo or Porygon from a 5km egg despite hatching over 200 of them. I hit up the same Pokestops pretty regularly and I'm wondering should I seek out new stops.

Got my first Poliwrath, Parasect, and Tentacruel today, not a bad haul really.

Just as I was reaching home Abra shows up on my sightings so I'd said I'd triangulate the wee bugger. Went 200m toward a spot he'd spawned in before then back a few hundred metres to another previous spawn, then onto to more regular random spawn points with him showing up and disappearing every so often. Finally gave up and went home only to find him immediately behind where he'd first popped up on the radar.

He had 10CP.

He didn't run though in fairness to him. I need one more to get a Kebabra but have only low CP Abras. Considering it will be Christmas 2017 before I get 100 candies and Alakazam is piss weak as a scrapper do I care? I want him off my list of shame.

Iv 4. All from eggs. So something like 87 candies to go with them. Could make a right beast of one. My highest ain't got a great move set tho. Dunno what to do

I hit all the same stops usually. And my last 4 10k all been the same. I have hatched 2 do duo and a porygon n last couple of days tho. How do you know each egg is predetermined??

He means what you get from the egg is decided at the time of receiving it, not at the time of hatching. In other words, that's when the egg lottery happens.
