Same with most online game purchases, takes a bit of time and a reboot to show up.

Was in UL today went for a long walk from the concert hall to the vilage in clare and back by the living bridge. A few raticates which I evolved but higher CP so caught 1 also caught a ponyta and a magnemite. Hatched 2 5K eggs both were ponyta which was disappointed but nearly enough candies to evolve it. There was pidgeys pegeottas also not a bad day plus I now have so many pokeballs may have to get storage upgrade

Just realised got a few more a Claifairy, couple of Goldeens (no Magicarp though), Krabby, Mankey, Poliwag, Psyduck, Staryu. Other than Claifairy, Mankey, Magnmite the rest were higher CP or just transfers for candies

Managed to take 4 gyms this evening and hold them to claim 40 coins from the shield. The appeal of the game is beginning to wearing off for me. At level 23, I'm becoming more and more frustrated with the totally useless nearby/sighting system I think some changes are badly needed to improve the game-play.

Went frin a to b for 1.2km and b to a for 300m. Wormhole? The only thing I found was a hedgehog contemplating a dash across the road. Went to get something to pick him up with and move him to a garden but he disappeared. My first thought was that he had despawned.

Started renaming my Pócaíman for a laugh but could use some help with the likes of Jigglypuff !

I'm 23 also, and as I said gyms are now my focus more than catching.
It's fun seeing how many you can grab before they get taken. Do I cash in now or go for one more? I'm finding that more exciting than anything.
I don't have the selection that the cheaters do but my guys are pretty good and I can take most gyms. I go out of my way if I see one which I think may be bot controlled.

You can actually find Pokemon with the sighting system. It isn't broken anymore not that you'd know because Niantic are incapable of saying anything.

Just back from another trek around since 1am with himself, didn't catch anything great but someone let off a lure and then legged it when we came along. Must have gotten a fright I'd say.

Level 10 and 4,99€ later I'm still very much enjoying this game. Though I'm not sure I've the patience to try hatch the four 10,0km eggs I have... :rolleyes:

I currently have 9 eggs on the go which all have approx. 3km left on them; three 10km, six 5km. This will be my 3rd batch of 9 eggs on the go (previous batches were nine 5kms). Mostly I get nothing great but as I got Meowth twice in eggs on my last batch, I had enough candies to evolve one of them into a Persian; which I didn't have.

For me, I still enjoy playing the game even though the "fad" aspect has died off. I knew it would eventually but I didn't start playing because it was what everyone was talking about. I always liked Pokemon so playing the game just made sense to me; broken nearby/sightings radar or not.

At the moment, I'm taking over gyms (for a short time) and collecting coins while trekking all over Dublin looking for rarer Pokemon. It's the trek and the hunt that I find most enjoyable and isn't that the whole point?

You can see the name when yiu look at the gym but no one else can.

Yeh i did that with three mates mate of mine last weekend went out a took a few in close proximity took about 6 and stuck 23 fairly high CP Mons in eac but were still loosing them almost as quick as taking them eventualy cahed out for 30 coins each

Like im a level 25 now with a few mons ove rthe 2000 CP mark and the lads were a levl 19 and level 17 nothing we dropped anywere had a CP lower than 900... Impossible to keep Gyms in the city and same as alot of the guys are saying seeing more and more gyms taken over by evident bots like level 35+ players with insanse pokemon theres one in cabra now dude has a Chinese name (as in the lil picture writing) is a level 34 and has a dragonite with over 3,000 CP holding the gym ... With how long the game is out here i doubt anyone can be above level 30 legitimately , maybe im wrong but seems unlikely

When you take a gym, what has to be the situation to put more than one pokemon on the gym? From what I can see, say the gym has three pokemon, youve to beat the gym, then there's two left and 1 left, so you've to beat it 3 times. Then I'm able to put one pokemon on it. What has to happen to be able to put two or three there?

Generally when you take control of a gym, there is space for 3 pokemon. You can then train it up to fit more in.
But, you can only have one pokemon per trainer in the gym (you can have pokemon in multiple gyms, but only one in each).

How do you train it up though? Is it by other teams trying to take it and failing?

You have to get one of your guys to fight it, for each pokemon you beat you get prestige for the gym.

You also get extra prestige for beating them with a pokemon whose CP is lower than the one you are facing.
