That season I seem to remember it went down pretty early be interesting to see what they do though. That year I planned for a long term team and felt I got punished with the free wc this year I have an early wc planned so it should help. The rush this week has been insane but as you say with the UFPL game gone there really is no excuse for not having the servers to handle it maybe the new site is a lot more server intensive than they expected.

There's an Official FPL twitter account this year guessing they are going to be getting a lot of abuse!

You're right there, already saw some tweets complaining about their joke of a website, don't seem to learn from their mistakes.

You're making a bigger deal out of it than needed. It literally went down 10 minutes before the close of the gameweek. 10 minutes is nothing and there shouldn't be any sort of free WC given.

What are you talking about? It's been down since at least 10:30am.

Not every player had the time to set their team last night. I did, but I know a few very good players who are now f*cked because an error not of their own doing.

Lads, it's a well known issue that the site is unstable the day when the season kicks off. if they are very good players, they should have 99% of their work done so they won't be fcuked over.

If they left it to 11am on the first day, I'd imagine they're not very good players.

FPL have been pandering to the casuals for a while now tbf, extra wildcard, chips etc. Wouldn't surprise me if they did add a free WC.

Well one finished at 1113 last season but was at a wedding yesterday so didn't get a chance to change his team.

Not everybody is glued to their FPL team a week in advance of the deadline. I was but there are people who aren't.

He's had weeks to do it, it's his fault. It's well known the site crashes at times of high volume. It's a free to play game.

Am I the only one who sees hull not doing too badly against Leicester? They'll shut up shop and it's the first week, enthusiasm will still be alive and well. Plus, I know they're champions but it's only Leicester. Bookies odds suggest what I'm saying as well, Leicester nearly evens for the win. Favourites obviously but not by a landslide.
