Brought my 2 girls to try out a gym for first time yesterday. I took the gym and put a 10cp magicarp I for them to train the gym to put 2 in for rewards.

Looked so funny with a magicarp as the gym icon lol

That would be Bite which being dark is super effective against psychic Hypno, no stab though so not as effective as an actual dark pokemon of which there are none in the first gen, which is why psychics can be op

I don't think I've seen a gym being held for more than 30 minutes. One up the road from me had three 2000+ snorlaxes and a dragon thing last night but when I looked again later it had another colour.

There's only one gym in my local Town, all the pokemon in there are very low ish cp around 700 down!

The gym next to the East Link on the Ringsend side was held by Mystic for what felt like a week, looks like it's finally been taken over today

You could plug in your earphones and turn the phone screen side down and then when you hear the noise go and catch it.

Leave the brightness all the way down with the game open is what I do. Phone is constantly on charge from the laptop

What I have seen:

-Magmar's in Merrion square (we all know this).
-Growlithes spawn every hour in Merrion square also.
-Few pockets in the city you are sure to get Eevees.
-Squirtles are popular. With a spawn every hour near central bank.
-If you want a Gyarados- go to grand canal and catch magikarps.
-Dratini's also in grand canal but not constant.

Boy am I fuming right now.

So I was playing Pokemon Go as you do, I put my phone in my pocket for a couple of minutes and then I take it back out a couple of minutes later to see that it spent 80 of my 120 coins on a lucky egg that I already had 2 of! I was saving up for a bag storage upgrade that would cost 200 but now I only have 40 coins!

seeing a really wierd issue since the last update , basicly im catching high CP pokemon first time every time literaly anying above 400CP im gurenteed if i hit it first ball i get it with a regular pokeball , but i cant hold on to low CP pokemon at all , for example i took 5 balls to catch a 10Cp magic carp and every pidgy i find under 100 CP is taking 5 or 6 to catch and more of them are escaping all together .

anyone else finding this ?

the only thing thats annoying me is that i used loads of pidgys and weedles and so on for leveling up just collect loads play a lucky egg and evelve em but now i cant hold any of the lil ****es

Heads up for Android users: If you're running Lollipop or above you can use Screen Pinning to lock the Pokémon Go app in the foreground so you don't accidentally leave the app when in your pocket. You can even lock the screen whereby tapping the power button will bring you straight back to the app without unlock PIN, etc.

Feature needs to be turned on first. Here's how to do both:

What level are you guys all on that you are catching 600 - 800 CP wild pokemon all the time? The highest i found was a 615CP Jinx and that was yesterday just as i levelled up to 14

My highest CP Pokemon is an 813CP Hypno and i only evolved him from a 380CP Drowzee this morning and had to pwer up the Drowzee to that level to begin with

The only high level Pokemon I've caught is a 700 Lapras and that was when I was a much lower level than I am now. I'm level 15 now and all I'm getting is crap. The game is really starting to annoy me at this stage.
