Yeah true,its funny because its evens the pair but the general feeling ive been finding is Conor has no chance I'd say its about 70-30 favouring Nate from the people I've been talking to and reading online.

I do find it a bit odd tbh. The general perception is massively in favour of Nate. But they don't appear to be taking much money on him despite his odds.

Edit: hasn't been much matched on betfair. €<1200. Mostly on Conor <evens. Apart from some initial craziness where he spiked to 2/1 and somebody got €40 on

Conor is extremely intelligent and knows what he's doing. He didn't become the highest paid in the sport by accident.

Didn't realise how big the Mc Gregor divide was until now. It really is one of love/hate.
Is it mainly his arrogance & attitude that make people dislike him?
I'm a fan, so find these things funny although sometimes a bit tedious. But I understand that's what makes him so big & well known so look past it as I think he's an amazing athlete.

You don't get to the top without having a bulletproof mentality and belief in yourself. If he actually thought that Diaz beat him because Diaz was just a better fighter or because Diaz is too big or something then I'd be extremely worried about him as McGregor would be beaten before he even got into the octagon. The fact he believes what he says in relation to the first fight is part of the reason he is so good.

None of that actually disproves the fact that he is delusional though. Would it be any different if he said he believed he could fly? It he used evidence to the contrary would be be beaten before he jumped off Liberty Hall??

Haha I was trying to convey in a non booksmart kinda way, like I couldn't see him getting 600 leaving cert points :P But I think he plays "the game" extremely well if you know what I mean. Knows what he's doing to earn the big bucks and in the early UFC days, earn a title shot quicker.

Have to agree. Street wise as they say. Definitely need a good head on your shoulders to earn the money he has.

I think it's maybe because he was just an ordinary lad on the dole that worked his way to the top. That's possibly why so many Irish people support him & have got behind him & have become massive fans.
He is relatable to a lot of people. Also the amount of Irish in the US probably helped.

I am not saying the sole reason Conor was successful was because he was Irish, the lad can talk and fight. My point was that if he was American while he would still be successful I don't think he would be as big as he is. For sure being Irish has helped Conors appeal in the States and helped with adding to his appeal.

Exciting fighter with Knockouts + the appeal of being Irish made him a superstar. Seery was Irish but he wasn't exciting like Conor is, Can you honestly say you don't think being Irish helped with his status at all?

The guy is brilliant and he is so fun to support. I agree 100% with the part in bold, there is millions of Irish-Americans and I think he gets their support massively. Look at the crowd when he fought in Boston, was intense

And I think when an Irish person does well in the states. Everyone wants to be Irish then. Great great grandparents have Irish roots etc.
I think it's great. Sure why not like. Really looking forward to his next fight. Love the build up & excitement around it.

Never said anything bad about Conor, just saying I think being Irish did help him. Conor is a great salesman and being Irish helped him sell is all I am saying.

Also I am really looking forward to UFC 202 also, I think it will be a good fight.
