Welcome to the Mayo GAA discussion thread.

This is one of the most active forums on Boards.ie. As a result, discussion can get quite heated. But there are certain things posters must realise are simply not OK to post:

- Personal abuse of anyone be they other posters, players, managers, referees, pundits etc. Any personal abuse will result in an infraction or a ban.

- Rumours about players'/managers'/anyone's personal lives. This should be self explanatory. Apart from being a dickish thing to do, it can lead to legal trouble for Boards.

- Trolling. Again, self explanatory. Trolls will be banned for a long time.

- Accusations of trolling. Report a post if you suspect it to be trolling. Do not call a troll out on thread as this will be considered back seat modding.

- Speculation into the identity of another poster. This is a site-bannable offence.

This list is not exhaustive. Either myself or another mod may add to this as we see fit. Just because a certain behaviour isn't listed, doesn't mean you can't be banned for it.
The general Boards.ie rule of Don't be a Dick always applies.

If you feel a post breaks the rules, simply click the red triangle underneath the post in question to report the post and a mod will deal with it as they see fit.

So be civil to each other and happy posting.

Couple of us watching it on Sky, would rather be there TBH it's a great stadium the stand only protects 40% from the rain. Looks like a great crowd . Compared that to what looked like very few at the armagh laois game.

Worth a punt as long as you have not put your life saving on it,juicy odds.Might pay for a few drinks tonight,hard to see anything other than a Belgium victory and the Boks will be lynched if they don't level up the test series today!Here's hoping it comes in.Drinks will be on you!:D

The Irish Times published an article this week that showed how statistically Cillian is the most relied upon (and thus arguably the most important) player in the game. Mayo rely on him for scores more than Monaghan rely on Conor McManus or Kerry on James O'Donoghue. Just shows how vital it is that others step up to the plate.

Yop, I'd say there'll be a few juvenile season tickets about sat eve. If you've a spare adult, make sure he use's that!

Mine is more along the lines of "Ear abuse", nearly passed out in 2012 I got so worked up. Need to work on my breathing lol.

Yeah you're dead right,its a wind tunnel.Shan't forget the combination of gales and rain during the Dublin league game in a hurry,sunset on a decent evening can be a nightmare too.Yeah it's sold out alright,you might pick up a season ticket off somebody who can't make it?It was mentioned above that you could contact John Prenty/Connacht Council to see if there was any more stand tickets available.Prefer halfway line,halfway down or the McHale Road terrace on a lovely evening near the old pressbox.
