This is one for the ladies out there!
Having an ongoing argument with my mate chubby byrne over whos more popular with the ladies.Basically he reckons that girls prefer men with a bit of meat, now hes not obese but he would be carrying a bit of extra poundage in the belly area,I on the underhand am in need of a few pound in the belly area as i'm a bit of a skinny lad.So basically i'm a few pounds underweight and chubbser is a few pounds overweight.
    Which is best
    YOU DECIDE!
Ps Respect to the ladies :)

    Atari Jaguar.

All ladies are different. I'm comfortable with my own weight - just about the right weight for my height, age and build,- and that seems to work for me. Where's your poll option for that?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,184 ✭✭✭✭Pighead

With all due respect bard this poll is dedicated to the lads below or above the average weight.I'm guessing most girls would plump for average weight if given the option thus leaving me and chubbser none the wiser over whos more attractive to the fairer sex.

every man is different- my main thing i go for is eyes... if i can fall into his eyes he's a winner...

eyes are the windows to your soul,

I have lovely eyes, don''t let this sway your vote in any way shape or form tho as it could be construed as canvassing votes.

if you want to know who is sexier.. post two pix and post a poll pic a or b which is sexier! picture idea is stand topless(since you feel your weight is important)

personally weight isn't important to me at all.. i've with tubby guys and they are great to cuddle, i've been with guys that are skinny...

but i do have a thing for strong guys with big backs and cunky arms... its a safe feeling in their arms..

you're asking this on the internet, of people who spend hours every day sitting in front of a computer screen, for whom walking to the fridge is considered a workout...

Excellent point azezil,i was wondering why the voting was tending to favour the fat lad!Still reckon the truth will come out tho and the ever so slightly thin fella will prevail

speak for yourself maybe but not for everyone please!
    Generalization.... tisk tisk,

and no i do not wear rose tinted glasses, i found out a long long time ago that the hot and cool guys aren't always the nice guys that will treat you well....

    And another thing,
Is the general image of a geek supposed to be the really skinny lad with glasses and a couple of pens in the shirt pocket no??

Did I at any point say geek?

Are you implying that everyone who uses the internet is a geek?

Just thought i'd mention that I am actually a much nicer person than chubbser byrne,i'm not one to tell tales but he has been known to put kittens into bags with bricks in them and throw them into rivers.again don't let this sway your vote.

    This thread is very shallow...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,184 ✭✭✭✭Pighead

That would be EL Guerrouj Debyaka.Bad spelling is the curse of the youth of today.Tut Tut

And just to sclarify to anyone who might be getting a bit confused, this poll isn't "well built strong armed men " versus "skinny blokes:"Its chubby belly hanging over the jeans treble chinned fat lads against skinny men.Let the voting continue

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,184 ✭✭✭✭Pighead

    Demeant0r
I disagree about the accusation of this being a shallow thread. It is a thread to determine what ladies(and men)find aesthetically pleasing and is no different than a thread in the music section discussing what bands are great and which are not so great. Its also worked wonders for chubbsers self esteem as hes beaming with delight after seeing most of the votes go his way
If making a chubby man very happy is shallow then give me shallow any day
    PS Vote for me please!

But originally you said it was a few pounds under weight vs. a few pounds overweight... you are trying to influence the vote to win the argument.. if you wanted an honest answer, then you should let the people decide without trying to influence them.

Maybe the lack of nutrition through anorexia is finally affecting your mind? :p

    You escaped x-ray. :D

I am attracted to bigger guys first. I don't discredit the littler guys, but the bigger guys do get first look. :D
I don't mean bigger as in Notorious F.A.T., er...I mean B.I.G. But I like guys who don't look like they'll break if we were to wrestle.

I prefer bigger men myself - in the past I never really noticed thin / average weight blokes.

IME women are mad into guys who are big, bulky and tall i.e. have a rugby player type physique. Guys should be at least 6 foot 2 and 15-16 stone to get women's juices flowing. The guys should not be fat but don't have to be super lean either. A little bit of flab and a hint of a beer belly is acceptable.

Thin and average build guys are regarded as unmasculine, weak, unable to protect the woman etc.

But as women get older, the size of a guy's muscles becomes less important relative to the size of his wallet

    No. Seriously, this is the most shallow thread I've read so far outside of the fashion/appearance forum... -_-;;

Riiiight, so all these 'Slydice specials' and so on are perfectly acceptable, but as soon as women start saying what we like, its 'shallow'?

    Get out of that.

(i'm going back to the kitchen now. Sorry)

I like the lanky guys. They have to have a little bit of muscle though. I have a thing against muscle-heads. I'd never get to see him because he'd spend all day flexing in the mirror.

Well, there is an element of double standards in what you say, I agree with Silverfish - as it wouldn't be considered shallow for men to talk about what they like in women... If someone asks about what women like, it's shallow?

Thin and average build guys are regarded as unmasculine, weak, unable to protect the woman etc.

Untrue, lets say your walking home from the chip shop and your ladyfriend having just treated you to a kebab and a spiceburger is putting her purse away when out of nowhere a horrible young man grabs her purse and runs off into the night
Now if the young ladys fella is overweight chances are he'll say c'est la vie my dear and whip open the kebab for a bit of comfort eating,if on the other hand if the ladys fella is slightly underweight he'll bolt off after the horrible young man and heroically catch and retrieve his dear ladys purse.
So in summary to say slightly underweight lads are unable to protect their ladies is pure and utter rubbish!

Yeah ur right,Tis all about determination, the eye of the tiger and the ability to sneak up behind them and judo chop them in the neck.Respect to the underweights!

My preference of the bigger guy stems back to my teen years, I think. Being a tall, skinny girl, the only guys who liked me back were those a little on the thicker side. Eventually I just started looking for those guys to save myself the heartbreak. Boo hoo, I know, but I think that's my reasoning for the bigger guys preference.

What is the ratio of stone to kilos to pounds?

All I know is my weight in stones and my height in feet, I had to work out my height in cm recently because I started going out with a european girl but havent been able to work out my weight. Im 15 Stone and 201cm

    /EDIT

    ok 1 stone = 6.35029318 Kilo's - I am 95.25 Kilos

    1 Stone = 14 Pounds - I am 210 lbs

I realise this wasnt the question in the topic, but I allways wondered what I weighed in kilo's and pounds.
