Wrong item from Amazon

    Hi guys!
    Just a quick question regarding Amazon and returning an item.
    I ordered a 12" vinyl maxi single. An item arrived on Thursday evening, but it was a 7" single. The right artist and the right single, but not what I ordered. What I wanted also had slightly different songs. I suppose it was an easy enough mistake to make. The seller was based in Germany. I have contacted them and am waiting for a reply.
    What I am wondering is if my issue is with the seller in Germany or with Amazon? I'd like to return it for what I ordered. Do I arrange the replacement with Amazon or the seller?

    All contact should be with the seller at this stage. You should only contact Amazon if you're unsatisfied with how the seller deals with your request

    To add to the above, that depends who fulfilled it. If its sold and dispatched by X, its X's issue first but if its sold by X and fulfilled by Amazon then you can go direct to Amazon's CS.

    It was sold by X and dispatched by X, went through Amazon. I haven't heard back as of yet though.
    I essentially asked if I could return the wrong item in exchange for what I ordered.
