Would anyone have a ball park figure of what a structural engineer would charge to investigate a crack in a party wall of a 3 bed semi house? Thanks.

That would depend on the nature and degree of the investigation.

Let's say that you require a visual inspection by a structural engineer and a report on said visual inspection. Ballpark for same would be between 300 to 500 euros.

However, there may be more involved and/or required such as site survey, fitment of creep meters, detectors, further and multiple visits. Invesigations of other matters, soil testing etc. etc.
Now you are looking at a likely price of the sort of 1500 to 4000 euros (for some of the more essential basics) - all very much dependent on the nature of the site and other factors.
