Im 45 and now that i have a lot of spare time on my hands, i want to do a physics courses. I dont have too much money to through at it, so i dont know where to start. I was looking at getting books and trying to do it at home, but id say i would need help. Any ideas any one?

You could try looking online. Some universities record and upload the lectures and you can watch them for free. I'm not sure if this uni has physics but i've watched other lectures on it before and they were very good:
