Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hopefully this link should give the blank quiz to you: (Just right-click and Save Image As)

    http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/view?q=diffney&psc=G&filter=1#5265915310857588866

If you don't get to the page directly and just get a PicasaWeb homepage, use the search field and type in "Diffney".

    ****

I suspect that N N I should be N N 1. I have emailed the Holly Bough editor, so he might clear it up for us. If it is a 1, I have the answer (Yes! Yes! Yes! ... a Meg Ryan moment there......).

    ****

Here's the response from the Editor:
"Your answer based on N N 1 would appear to be correct. Gerry has used the Roman numeral for one, which I appreciate can be open to misinterpretation. Thanks for making me aware of this - I think most people will assume the Roman numeral refers to number 1 but if anyone else approaches me about it, I will tell them the same as I told you.
    John"

Hint: Before clearing the spoiler, look at your TG4 TV listings.

I actually said that to my son today, but was caught up on the I fact - didn't even dawn on the fact that it could signify a number.................. I'm kicking myself now  ouch! that hurt :D:D:D:D

Roll on next year for a new one, now that this years is finished.:)

This could end up like a Lotto syndicate. If a board member wins and we split the €500 - we will get about a Euro each!!

The personal satisfaction in completing the quiz is the main thing though, not the cash. It has given me 2 days of fun, and a sleepless night last night thinking of NNI.

'Black 47' is the name given to the year 1847 when the famine was at its height and is generally considered to be the worst year in Irish history.

(Presumably the band took their name from that).
