The interviewer kept asking the politician if a taskforce would be set up to do something about the job losses in the Cork area. Was just listening to Eamon Keane on Newstalk interview Billy Kelliher TD about more job losses in Cork. The interviewer kept asking the politician if a taskforce would be set up to do something about the job losses in the Cork area.

What exactly is a taskforce, and can anyone point to a specific taskforce that has brought about improvements in the area it was focusing on?
