    Hey all,

I was in work today looking forward to the long weekend. Looking forward to a nice cycle home before heading out for a few beers in the sun. Sounds nice, but I came down to find my bike without a back wheel!!!!!! Some scumbag had made off with my bach wheel    (Damn quick release thingy!)

The bike is a bog standard one, a "Carrera Vulcan" 18'' frame. Any one have any idea where I could go to replace the wheel and roughly how much it is gonna cost?

    Thanks for your help.

    John

Think that's a mountain bike, so you're looking for 26" wheel and tire. It could cost from 50 up. I reckon you're looking to the entry level stuff so I'd budget up to 80 or 90 quid.

A 50e wheel would break down roughly as: hub - 15e, spokes - 5e, rim - 15e, tube - 3e, tyre - 12e. Yeah you'd be doing well to get a wheel for that, but it's possible. Oh wait, I forgot to include a rear cassette... add another 10-15e for that :)
