    say ive a perm connect to work, but the firewall there wont let me use irc, how can i get around this ? or can i ?

    Your firewall might have sock4 connect. get the ip of the firewall and edit mirc.

    in /FILE/CONNECT/OPTIONS

    Click on 'Use Socks Firewall'

    u may not even have to use a username/password, just leave them blank try it.

    if you have external telnet access then your sorted.. just telnet to an external machine and irc from that.
    a tracert to any external ip should find the firewalls ip somewhere.

    i got telnet, but tbh i dont know anythin about it - but ive used irc on it b4,
    can u gimme ne more details on how exactly id do this ?
