Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yes, you will need it done every 60k

When was that 54k change? Belts have a lifespan based on age as well as mileage. If it was 2 years ago, then it'll be a while before you need to think about it, but if it was in 2003.....

Aren't the sohc 8v engines non interference meaning a belt failure won't cause much damage at all.

Not much help if you're stranded on the M1 but good to know.

No service history? Receipts? Maybe something written on the cover in the engine bay?

Ok you need to decide if you want to risk it.
Get a few local quotes and go from there.

It was actually done at 52750 miles

How did you find that info?

In case someone else asks the same question.

With a car of that age and low mileage the more important information needed is when it was done rather than at what mileage. 52750 miles could easily mean it was changed 10 months ago or 10 years ago.

Rubber perishes over time as well as mileage so someone who does very low mileage should use a time interval over a mileage interval. Same goes with regular servicing.
