Oddly enough im enjoying it, even the 1:1 crop ratios. So far I'be mainly posted older pics from my archives, my lots is these may not have been shared before.

    Anyways, this is me

I've been on it for yonks but I don't (or try not) follow people who post camera photos.
For me, Instagram is about the instantaneous spur of the moment shot with your phone and not wonderfully composed and hand crafted DSLR shots - if I want to see those I'll look at the persons website/flickr etc.

Im on it the last few months and post a combination of DSLR shots and phone shots.

    Really enjoy it.

Really like your style pal, followed you there!

Personally I've been using it since about October last year when I used my iPhone 4 and then from January my DSLR mainly with few phone shots. Never tried photography before that.

Plus, I post every day (on day 230 something of 2015) as a way to get better and force myself to take some photos often. Sometimes quality suffers because I run low on great photos but that just spurs me on more!!

Whilst I kinda thought like this a while back, I haven't last the house without a Fuji camera (normally the x100 series) in months, if not longer. So a lot of my 'snaps' are on a 'proper' camera.

On the current models I can wifi the pics too my phone...

Well since I haven't renewed my account, I technically now am on the free version.
I suppose its more to do with the fact that I feel flickr has become stale?
I dump photos there and use the links to post here. But virtually no other interactions

Buying our house a few years ago forced me to sell my camera/accessories and I haven't gotten around to buying a new one as there always seems to be something to spend money on, so until the day comes that a DSLR crosses my lap I'll just be using my phone.

I have to say that even when I was using the DSLR I had lost interest in Flickr but Instagram is great fun and I like the idea of it being used to host spontaneous photos. Much like pullandbang I dislike seeing non phone photos in the photostream- it goes against the idea of what it's all about for me.

I've been using instagram for years. I love it. It's the thing that helped me to get into photography and I'm only really using my dslr properly since last September when I joined a camera club. Almost all my photos on instagram are through my phone.

    Anyway, here I am....

    http://recode.net/2015/08/27/vertical-photos-have-arrived-instagram-waves-goodbye-to-its-square-only-photo-requirement/

also pic dimensions are now 1080x1080px

I've been using Instagram for almost a year now and found it fantastic. I usually use my dslr but it's the social side of it I love. I've made new friends, met folks from various places and been away on weekends with folks I've hardly known yet we share our common interest of photography. Heading over to Donegal somewhere this coming weekend with folks I didn't know a year ago to meet other folks that use Instagram. Really enjoying it.

Didn't realise I can't share my Instgramrm account link because I'm a new user. My user name is Watsysworld anyway, I'll take a look at your folks links yous have posted.

I can see that it could be very easy for one's website blog section suffering at the hands of Instagram. I know they're two separate things; mobile photos vs. Dslr photos but with Instagram it's so easy to post and you're more likely to get likes & comments than on your website/blog.

Yeah, it was added to combat spammers. It will go away once you reach 25 (I think) posts. Added you, lovely stuff.
