Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anyone on here got an old (early 2000s) Daihatsu (Cuore, Sirion, YRV maybe) with the 3 cylinder 989cc engine and if so, where would you recommend taking it for a major service I.e. timing belt and water pump on a 03 YRV?
I am keen to use genuine Daihatsu parts, but unfortunately have been told these need to be ordered from Japan with a 1 month delay (in ROI anyway). Alternatively I'd go North, but Desmond Eastwood in Lisburn has been mentioned before (is the last remaining Daihatsu dealership on the island), and some of the online reviews (google reviews) aren't good at all...

Please don't be slagging off on 1.0 litre cars or any of that ****e, I'm looking for useful recommendations preferably from another user with a 3 pot Daihatsu ... Not for my question to get hijacked by a bunch of bullsh*t as seems to happen a lot whenever some starts talking about one car or another....

    989 thanks, Peter.

Do any Toyota garages look after any Daihatsu service/parts? They are the same company afterall.
Great little cars. We had a Charade for years. Some of the best engines going.

Your nearest motor factor should have those parts in blueprint, which are good quality.

Have you had a skim through this site? Got lots of info from it when I had a Fourtrak.
