And happy holidays to those who don't celebrate Christmas but are having some time off anyway :)

It has been a busy and exciting year for Boards.ie and we have seen lots of changes in that time, not least of which was gaining a new CEO, Sean.

The Santa Strike Force efforts are going strong again to help out multiple charities for kids who need help of all kinds; please donate whatever you can by clicking on my signature and you can read about the donations so far here.

Be patient over the next couple of weeks, lots of people are taking time off and that includes us here in the office as well as our Mods, CMods and Admins - and deservedly so.

We will be checking emails sent to the office sporadically for anything urgent; anything non-urgent can wait until myself and Dav return to work on 5th January 2015 (5.1.15, ooh symmetry) when we are back to our normal working hours.

It is not a happy, fun time of year for everyone and for some it is the very opposite. If you feel you need to talk to someone, here are some helpful numbers of people you can call:

    Samaritans 1850 60 90 90

    Aware (supporting depression) 1890 303 302

    1Life Suicide Prevention Helpline - 1800 247 100

Turn2Me.org No phoneline but website might be of help.

    Console (suicide bereavement) 1800 201 890

    Parentline Lo Call 1890 927277 or 01 8733500

    Childline 1800 66 66 66 or Text Talk to 50101

    Teenline 1800 833 634 (8-11pm)

Thank you for your support, feedback and posts in 2014,
    All the best,
    The Boards.ie Team.
