He was never as famous as his sex addict son though.

Apparently, according to a work colleague from Nagykoros,"Spartacus" is a term for the act of double penetration in Hungary. Just glad to add to the enlightenment that is Boards.ie.

Ah he was, just a different era. We're more contemporary with Michael. What really big film was Michael in. Romancing the stone?!?

    Slightly more. :)

    Wall Street
    Fatal Attraction
    Falling Down
    Disclosure

But yeh that's true - Kirk's hey-day was well over half a century ago.

The only other famous movies I've heard of him being in besides Spartacus are The Bad And The Beautiful and The Vikings.

And of course his delightful turn as Chester J. Lampwick in The Simpsons. :)

There have long been rumors about Kirk Douglas being a not so nice person. It will probably all come out after he dies if it's true. If you google his name and Natalie Wood you'll see what I mean.

you left out his role as Colonel Drax in that Stanley Kubrick film. It's a classic. I've forgotten the name of it though

Kirk was nominated for three academy awards. He also played Vincent Van Gogh in an excellent biopic.

Her sister has always said she won't name the person who raped Natalie while he is still alive..and Kurt's still alive so make of that what you will folks.

He was brilliant in Ace in The Hole,The Bad and The Beautiful and Out of the Past.

He played some really nasty characters in those films.

Of course the quote I'll remember him most for is "Make Me"
