    Ireland's First Eastern Bloc Car Meet - 20 Sept - Tullamore A meet and greet get together for those who have an eastern bloc car. Nothing serious, just a afternoon drinking, eating and sharing ideas and stories about these rare and wonderful vehicles. Lovers of eastern bloc cars welcome. Town will be Tullamore. Tullamore Business Park (Tesco/BurgerKing). Eastern bloc cars pre-1993 design only.

    The orange Lada estate is gorgeous..........that red Yugo van was up for sale a year or two ago, very cheap as well. I wanted it, but was out of the country at the time and it was gone when I got back.....at least the new owner is looking after it.

    Nice show, hope it gets bigger over the years.

    Interesting group of cars. Sorry now that I didnt go along for a look.

    I remember the Polski 125P in its day.
    A fair few were sold as they were a cheap new car at the time. You couldnt give them away secondhand.

    Likewise when I went to school in cabra an auld lad had two 125pickups, I thought they looked cool, and a lad on the road over had a polonez.......didn't they have Weller's (ish) wheels?

    Cannot remember the wheels but I remember an underbonnet blaze or two on those Polski 125s.
