It is a bit of topic, but has anybody come across/ stayed in nice pet friendly hotels in Ireland? I am looking into a night or two away next month with our dog & just starting to look into accommodation now. :)

    Thanks in advance.

Powerscourt are def pet friendly :p your dog sleeps in your room and they will provide a bed for your dog to sleep in... which is a waste as my guy will no doubt be sleeping ON the bed itself - we're booked in for christmas eve and christmas night - They charge an extra €50 for your stay for your dog.

    its pretty pricey though....

    heres other places too

Where are you travelling from? Lough Inagh Lodge in Connemara is wonderfully cosy and comfortable but it's a trek from Dublin for just one or two nights.

Sneem hotel co Kerry. Have stayed twice in their dog friendly apartments right alongside the hotel. Lovely walks around the area. It's fab. Was only there last week and have great offers. Small village. Lovely little restaurants where u can sit out and eat wit your doggie ,

Think they also do dog friendly hotel rooms.

Renvyle house in Connemara and Brook Lodge in Wicklow both offer dog friendly rooms, both quite expensive but definitely worth it!

The Gleneagle Hotel in Killarney has very nice pet-friendly apartments, and have been known to let dogs stay in the hotel bedrooms too ;)

Banna Beach Hotel near Tralee has pet-friendly self-catering cottages right beside the hotel, and all hotel facilities are open to residents in the cottages, which are very nice! And only a short walk away from the heavenly Banna Beach :)

Last year the Carton Hotel group was accepting one small dog as a dog rescue [mod edit] were their charity of the year. Dunno if they changed it this year but worth asking!
