Are they selling tinsel? Christmas trees?

If they'd take the scumbags openly dealing around the spire off the streets they'd be doing better.

Has the annual garda competition to see who can grind the city to a halt first started? That will explain the traffic so:mad:

Operation Freeflow wasn't done last year, at least it wasn't advertised and I noticed the lack of Gardai compared to previous years on my commute.

The two or three years before that you had a Guard standing at most major junctions and bus lanes and there was a noticeable improvement in the traffic.

If you're going to spout populous nonsense at least have some idea of what you're talking about.

It hasn't been in operation in either of the last two years:

Open city: a city where all defensive efforts have been abandoned in the hope that the attacking forces will capture it peacefully, minimising the suffering of civilians. Sounds about right for Dublin 2013

True, but as a fund raising arm of The Revenue Commissioners, it is much more profitable to focus on motorists.
