Thanks, I actually got a list from them and there is surprisingly very very little going on in Cork City in the way of amateur drama, definitely no regular workshops, anyway. So, I decided to take the initiative. If people in Cork City would like to help me set one up, see this post I made in the Cork City forum:

We are an amateur theatre group whose mission is to remove the barriers between those who would love to act and the stage they desire to fill.

We provide weekly, centrally located and affordable workshops open to all, regardless of previous experience.

We do not charge a membership fee, and do not "block book" for our workshops (i.e. pay for ten weeks in advance) but rather we charge a small fee at each workshop; in addition, there is no charge for your first workshop. This means we do not tie our members down to any long-term commitments.

We operate as a meritocracy, meaning that if you have no previous experience on stage, but you are the best in auditions, you get the role. End of story.

We hold workshops over two terms (Sep - Dec & Jan – May), with a main production at the end of each term. In addition, we have a one night “showcase” where members get to display their abilities (acting, writing & directing) in short plays of their choosing.

We believe that the only difference between amateur and professional is remunerations, not the level of effort or quality of work.

Finally, we want our theatre group to be a place where new friends are made, where the group socialises and bonds together. At the end of the day, that’s the whole point, right?

Panadrama Theatre.

We're a Cork based drama group who operate out of the Camden Palace Theatre. We run weekly workshops from 7-9 every wednesday. The whole idea behind the group is to attract people who may not have acted before and want to give acting a lash. So if you want to make new friends and have a bit of a laugh then call into us. Auditions for a series of radio plays, thurs night (13thjune) @ 7pm sharp upstairs in the roundy. Two female and 2 male voice actors required. Rehearsals and recording to follow shortly after.....All welcome
