The Chelsea Tickets Thread

Hi all,

Starting a thread for anyone looking for Chelsea tickets or info how to get to Stamford Bridge from all major hubs.

As we're one of the central London clubs with a Tube station right by the ground, getting to the stadium is pretty easy all year round.

Tickets :

Can be got directly from the club if your a memeber or ST holder, even non-members may get lucky if matches dont sell out.

Check here for official tickets.

http://www.chelseafc.com/page/Buy_Ti...441717,00.html

And we also have the Viagogo exchange where tickets come up for sale and these are the two official sources.

http://www.viagogo.co.uk/chelseafc/

On Twitter, then try @ChelseaTicket.
Can be a useful source for tickets if you have trouble sourcing from the above.

You can also book from Sports Travel agents, a quick Goggle will bring them up but these packages tend to be over priced, in my opinion but if needs most they can be a source for combined match tickets and accomadation.

Also have a look here you might get lucky , http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=1587 if you cant get into the group you can get access by PMing our local HMod for access - http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/member.php?u=139841

Transport :

For most getting to Stamford Bridge will involve a short plane journey to one of London's many airports.

I'd recommend whatever is the cheapest as with the rail and tube its easy to get around London, but my personal favourite is going Are Lingus to Heathrow and hoping on the Tube to Fulham Broadway on match day.

http://www.tfl.gov.uk/modalpages/2625.aspx

Accomdation :

If you fancy staying the night then your in luck, London has about 55 Billion hotel, hostel and B&B's to choose from.

All depending what you want from your stay, personally its hard to advise on any one hotel as there is so much choice, its all personal at the end of the day.

I'd recommend checking sites like the below and compare room prices also these sites have maps that you can pin point the ground and tube statiosn and plan your journey accordingly.

http://www.booking.com
http://www.easytobook.com
http://www.latedeals.ie

Pubs & Resturants :

With Chelsea being very central there is again plenty of pubs and resturants around the stadium.

Again, with accomdation its all down to personal taste, there is a fine selection of pubs and resturants to choose from and there is a handful right outside the ground that should you want some pre-game atmosphere you should head to early.

Heres a Google maps view of some places you may want to head to : http://maps.google.ie/maps?hl=en&bav...e&ved=0CBYQtgM

Any tips on any of the above are welcome lads as I'm sure we all have our own way of enjoying Chelsea.

Anybody going to matches post here also and we can keep up to date.

Get a membership.

For a one off payment of only £25, you get priority option buy a ticket for almost every game for the whole season. Even Barcelona away this year.

But don't delay. Memberships will and do sell out.

Option also to add a friend if you have a member friend and you can buy 2 x tickets.

Often go here on matchday, great pub with outdoor area and BBQ on match day, short walk to the ground.

You can also book a table for lunch if you like.

If the OH is going over to a match, we go here for the breakfast, nice place and does a good breakfast.

.
I suggest that the best way is :

Aer Lingus to Heathrow.
Tube to Earls Court
Walk to ground

Avoid changing trains and the congestion at Fulham Broadway.

Ya, thats what I do.

If the missus is coming over with me I stay around earls court or south kensington as its fairly easy to get to the ground on match day.

Again, with Earls court you're spoilt for choice with Hotels, B&B's, and even rented apartments if you wanted to go over with a few buddies.

Good contributions and inputs so far lads.

Fair play Gav, great advice here so far. Could have done with some of these tips a few years ago when I first went over with a mate of mine, with neither of us having a clue where we were going around London.

Me and my brother are really looking forward to finally going to the Bridge next season but I got a few questions.

Do we both need to have membership in order to get tickets (preferably seated together).

How much have you generally spent going to a game at the Bridge?

Can I pay for my membership with Paypal?

Not technically, if you have one memebrship you can link it with another friends, or family member and buy tickets for the same game.

If you purchase 2 tickets they will always be seated together, unless you specifiy.

I'd suggest getting ye're own membership, at £25 each their not really pocket bsuting.

Depends on hwo long you stay. If its a day trip :
1 Ticket = £47 +
1 return flight = hard to predict, but I've paid from €80-120
Hotel/B&B (optional) = £60 + a night
Drink/Food = £20-50 depending on if its a heavy session or just a casual one or two.
Travel = £9-25 depending on what airport you use.

If your going on a day trip its going be cheap if your going for a night or two its going to add up naturally.

I'd estimate 2 people for one night including 2 tickets, flights, travel and accomdation would be €350-400 total but it can easily be cheaper or more expensive then this.

AFAIK its only available to Creid Card's I'll have a little dig for information later but I've always bought and re-newed with a CC.

Fixture list is available here, I'm goign to include it in my original post.

Note, all dates are subject to change and best check with the club if you have any plans to travel, especially to any of the big games that might be on T.V.
