Another R4 3DS problem

Getting the following error on Nintendo 3DS running v3.0.0 –6 with R4 3DS card which has been updated to Kernel 1.52b.
An error has occurred. Press and hold the POWER Button to turn the system off. Please refer to the Operations Manual for details.

The card works fine in old DS Lite console with old firmware so presume firmware/kernel to be the problem. The kernel is meant to work with the version of firmware. Have had no response from r4i-sdhc.com.

The 3DS console works fine with any other 3DS game in the slot.

Got on to the crowd that sold the flashcard and explained problem. He said card won't work if firmware has been updated. He said everyone knows this and it's the same with DS XLs, DSis. (Card was not in DS when update occurred and card still works fine in older DS Lite so that doesn't really make sense to me. Why would new updated kernels be released if not?) So my understanding is I format the micro-DS card, copy the updated kernel onto the card, copy any other things I might want on the card and it should be usable in the 3DS with the updated firmware. Are my assumptions wrong?

I'm getting the same error with an R4i-SDHC card on a 3DS. Have sent it back twice and am on my 3rd one. same error
I'm demanding my money back from the Fecking chancers selling it at this stage (Not sure if i can name and shame them).
