Camskill doing a special on these now. Fantastic tyre. They have uniroyals for a bit less too but the vredesteins worth the money. Check price delivered in shopping basket and allow a few quid for fitting |

My advice is stay away from cheap Far East crap, they really are terrible especially in the wet when you need them most.
These Uniroyal Rain Sports are keenly priced on camskill but allow extra money to have them fitted locally. They have a good reputation for grip in the wet: http://www.camskill.co.uk/m54b0s312p...7_97W_XL_FR_TL_ These are also very good and probably my choice, I have read elsewhere from a few BMW M3 owners who are very happy with them: http://www.camskill.co.uk/m54b0s312p...5_45R17_94Y_TL_ Edit: Colm beat me to them. |

Part worn tyres might be worth a look too. There are two places in the industrial estate between Glasnevin and Finglas (on the left just after the cemetery) if you're in Dublin. Goodyear and such are about €70 a corner fitted (less for other sizes). All seem good, having a look about at the moment and both places have good tyres at what seems a reasonable price for what I’m after. Think there's a branch is Swords too.

http://www.camskill.co.uk/m54b0s312p..._45R17_94Y_TL_ I find them quite good. I have also had these: http://www.camskill.co.uk/m54b0s312p...R17_97Y_XL_TL_ and they were also decent. I would also reccomend the Falken 912 but camskill don't have them in stock. 100 a tyre is pretty good, price a few tyres in your local place in your size and you'll go running back to camskill. |

I found the sessantas as mentioned above to be stunning and certainly better than anything I can think of at their price. I would also say they beat the factory fit michelin pilot sport on my car in the wet and they would probably be over twice the price

After much searching for multiple reviews on multiple sites, I splashed out €120 each on Uniroyal Rainsport 2 from a local-ish bricks-n-mortar place. They were about €110 from Camskill, plus shipping, and not including fitting/balancing PLUS I also got €20 off a laser alignment while I was at it (€30 down from €50)
![]() Tyretest.com have reviews from joe soaps well organised too for an at-a-glance comparison. The Vredestein Sessantas come in better in the dry but worse in the wet. Hankook Ventus V12...ditto, but much cheaper. Even Good Year Eagle F1...ditto. My money went on the wet weather performance as the limits of dry adhesion are rarely reached by me, whereas in the wet, I like the extra assurance of good performance. |
