Prior to its redevelopment and extension as a major cricket ground Malahide Cricket Club has joined forces with Malahide Lions Club and North Dublin Rotary Club to run a Classic and Vintage Car Show on Sunday 21 August to raise funds for local charities and causes.

Situated in the centre of the picturesque village of Malahide, one of Dublin’s most scenic spots, the Cricket Club usually guards its pitch carefully. But for one day only it will open its hallowed ground to cars and vehicles over 25 years old in a day of fun and reminiscence.

Local charities and causes will benefit from the money raised from admission.
Opening hours are 11am to 6pm and food and refreshments are available.
Owners of cars and vehicle of any type over 25 years old all are warmly invited to join us on the day. Registration fee of €10 incudues lunch voucher and souvenir.

Further details, including on how to show your vehicle, are available on Malahide Lions Club website www.malahidelions.com/carshow.htm

Id love to attend but I don't attend shows where I have to pay to display my car. I think my time spent preparing the car cleaning/polishing/hoovering/ is enough payment. Wax aint free nor is petrol;)! If However there was a bucket at the registration desk where I could make a donation then I may just throw a tenner in there anyway but demanding that people to pay that display is a bit much in my humble opinion .

Joeysully note your comments re registration fee. You are not the only one to raise this but when we have explained that the fee covers food and memento for the exhibitor so that we can keep all gate receipts for charitable causes most exhibitors think that is fair enough. The fee includes any no. of passengers (exclude food). Hope this explains and you might reconsider. Thanks for your interest.
