Not sure about where you can get it fixed but it might be cheaper to just buy a new one then to get it repaired? Just a suggestion.

Fonemenders will fix it for €150 and your warranty will still be ok, make sure and get them to write on the docket, do not delete data or update, there's no need for them to just get them to change the screen.
I wouldn't try it yourself, htc's can be a bit fiddly when you try stripping them.

If he is was on bill pay then it would be cheaper, the OP has confirmed he is on PAYG so his only option would be to get it repaired.

you will probably lose everything so hook it up to a computer via usb and (assuming it boots) back everything up.
if you have an MHL cable hook it up to your tv so you can install something like sms backup & restore for your texts and get anything that isnt on the SD card moved.
all your apps, mails and contacts are on google servers so they wont be lost.

it wont be covered by your warranty unless ylou have insurance so in terms of actually gettting it fixed, try k-phone out in bray, they have been very good for me in the past.

just reposting this from the locked double post as the mod has not merged the threads

to clarify on the losing everyhing part, the shop may reflash firmware etc as part of any work they do. data probably wont be lost but you should treat it as if it would be.

Bill pay gives you one subsidised phone per contract, you can't simply buy another at the same low price when you break the first one.

Apple let you have another iphone4 for €250 when you total your own.

If there is no damage on the screen or phone you should be able to get it replaced under warrenty. HTC offer a 2 year warrenty, I got my old HD2 fixed for free when the screen went wonky. Over and back in 1 week :)
