http://www.treesdontgrowtothesky.com/ seems to be down for the past couple of weeks, wonder is it gone for good this time? It was gone last year but they got some funding to keep it going.

Used like checking in to it every so often.

How about http://www.collapso.net/. Way ahead of the irishhousehunter website in my humble opinion.

Remember, most price tracking sites track asking prices not transactions. There is a world of a difference between the two these days. Every time a Daft report comes out the media comment on it as if it was a measure of value or changes in values but it isn't - its purely asking prices.

    Another site:
    http://www.irishpropertywatch.com/index.php

Useful site to get date when property was first put up for sale.
Unfortunately, it can be very slow and seems to be frequently overloaded.

Too right Chipboard, this is such a pain. Despite all the promises of a sales index nothing seems to be happening. I could be wrong but it strikes me that a lot of the data must already be available via the amount of stamp duty received by Revenue, certainly since the budget at the end of last year simplified stamp duty and you would imagine therefore makes the the process of creating a sales index straightforward e.g. if they know 1% of the property price tis a doddle to calculate 100%. Would it not be relatively easy
Maybe it's only simple in my head!

http://www.thepropertypin.com/ is really informative. I like the analysis and comments. This site always keeps me upto date and well informed. Have been taking a break at searching but am back on the house hunt this evening.
