Forum Specific Charter
The charter can be updated at anytime, so please check regularly.
Some Useful Info
This forum is for the posting of Cool Vids & Pics & Links and various others bits from around the great wide internet
This charter is an attempt to set out how these postings should be conducted, with the aim of creating a lively and interesting forum, both for those interested in posting these topics, and those interested in viewing about them.
The sitewide rules listed above cover most things so there are just a few more forum specific rules to be aware of
Quoting posts
Please when quoting pics and gifs in threads edit the [IMG] tags to be [URL] tags, this makes posts smaller and easier to scroll past
Reposts
It is inevitable that pics and vids will get posted again, please don't complain about them on thread, some people might not have seen them before. If they were recently posted please report them and a Mod will edit or delete as necessary
Any on thread moaning or b!tching can merit a ban
Content
This is a public forum, many people view it from work, please bear this in mind before posting something, it doesn't matter how funny it is if it breaches the PG13 rating it will be removed and banning may follow
That is not funny
Humour is subjective, not everyone will agree that something is funny, this is a good thing
What is not a good thing is going into a thread and moaning and complaining that something isn't funny, if you don't find something funny then post something you do find funny rather than complaining on thread
Any on thread moaning or b!tching, this include registering your displeasure using pictures, can merit a ban
Moderating
As a general rule, when moderators post in bold, they're posting in their capacity as a moderator.
If you have an issue with moderation, here's what to do:
- Don't argue with moderator decisions in-thread. If nothing else, you're dragging the thread off-topic.
- PM the moderator in question, or all of the forum moderators. Make your point civilly.
- Having discussed things with the moderator(s), if you're still unhappy, start a thread in the Dispute Resolution Forum
Please do not start threads about grievances in the Feedback forum. Thats not its intended purpose.
Please remember that moderating is a voluntary position, not a paid, full-time job. Moderators cannot be at your beck-and-call, 24-7. It may take some time to respond to any queries, PMs, etc.
If you have any suggestions for something that is missing or improvements then please post them in this thread or PM one of the Mods
Many thanks to all the members of the forum who contributed to the shaping of this charter and to the CT Mods who I robbed the format and some content from
