This ad says that Irish VRT and Tax has been paid. Does that mean if i buy in the UK and import to Ireland i dont have to pay VRT. I assume VRT can only be paid once in the lifetime of a car. Looks like he bought in Ireland and left for the UK, so made a HUGE loss by selling in the UK.

Some bargain if you dont have to pay VRT!!!!

Well it could be a saving of at least €70k

I know its expensive for the everyday Joe's but 170,000 for a 2007 599 with 5k miles is CHEAP!!!!

If you dont mind me asking who with a NORMAL income can afford this these days?A BARGAIN.
If you won the lotto or if you are a drug baron?
    you choose

Like you could buy it, bring it over here and sell it for between 200k and 230k and you would almost be guaranteed a sale at that price.

Its all relative to what you can afford and the market value of the item in question.

Just because you cannot afford it doesnt mean its not a bargain.

Lets all throw in 50 quid, buy it, have a lap each in it and then sell it for profit!

Yes it may be a bargain in relative terms but it is still a 3 year old car that costs €173,000. Its hardly going to set our pulses racing in anticipation that we might pick it up on the cheap.

Bargain refers to Cost not Value. A common misconception.
The Cost has nothing to do with what you can afford or consider reasonable value.

Is it irrelevant to put a car worth 144000£ and call it a bargain.

Did you open this thread in anticipation of trading your Micra against it? What did you expect?

Just a bargain, or a bargain Ferrari 599?

Jesus lads, stop being such bitter fools(not aimed at all ;) )

This guy for whatever reason has alot of money. He is willing to spend 150k or so on a car. He see's one online that he likes and he thinks it is cheaper then the going rate.

He wants peoples opinions on this.

From what I know its about 30k cheaper then the going rate min for its spec. However for such a purchase car you would definitely want to bring a mechanic over with you to check it out...

And yes you could bring it straight into Ireland considering it has Irish tax and VRT.

Best of luck with it, hope someday I'm in your position.

A bargain for the common working man with normal income.
I dont need a penis extension its long enough lol

Does anyone know what the POA of this 599 in Des Cullen is/was (apparently sold)? Might give a good comparison.

If bought new from Ireland, then that is very sore depreciation. I think in 2007 they were selling for 430,000. Is that correct? At 400,000+ new...ouch.

    The extension is? :p

It said Ferrari 599 in the title, it was out of your (our) league from the very beginning. ;)

thats right ole bargain..... now if i had the money..... a lot of car for a good price...

I will add, a bargain is a bargain no matter how much it costs,
I know a lot of people who couldnt afford to spend €2k on a car, but that doesnt mean if a early reg 2010 micra came up for sale at €2,500 isnt a bargain...

If you need to sell your house to afford it then you are out of your league.
If you have no interest in the car and if it is a bargain or not then stop posting on the thread. I believe somebody talked about a bargain Micra might be more in your bracket.
