    Treasure Island (between St Petersberg and Clearwater) on the Gulf of Mexico coast.

    Thunderstorms almost every day I was there for 16 days! :D

    Weather mad barman considered that one in the pictures and video pretty average, nothing special or unusual. Puts Irish 'thunderstorms' in perspective.

    Oh aye they have their share of thunderstorms thats for sure. I've never been to that place, it just looked like a place i was in, but obviously not.

    The most ferocious thunderstorms I've ever seen were in Florida, they didn't last long but a lot of lightning hit the ground in the time they went on.

    Monsoon season in New Mexico was good too - you could set your watch by the afternoon storms.

    Proper storms, we get 2 or 3 flashes of lightning here and they call it a thunderstorm :rolleyes:
