    Released by EA as freeware.

Awesome games, my first introduction to RTS. Hope they'll run OK in Windows 7.

Nice find... I'm surprised that EA are being gracious enough to not only offer it as freeware, but pay for the massive amounts of bandwidth that'll be used up as well!

What kind of difficulty? Have you checked any of the documentation contained in the rar file?

Its unzips the play button in the wrong folder. Drag it into the "SUN" folder and try it again. It worked fine for me after this.

    I didn't realise there was a C&C forum!

Just create a shortcut from game.exe in the main TS directory. Then hit right-click, properties, compatibility tab. Then click run in compatibility for windows 98/ME. Works fine with that for me (Windows 7).

Yes there is, but I haven't tried it out.

The game also comes with a free save! Ooooh. It looks like one of the earlier boring missions where you get a couple of engineers. I hate those missions.

the only thing stopping me downloading this is the fact that i have so many games to play right now and it would be 2012 before i got round ro it

  • Registered Users Posts: 815 ✭✭✭Quaderno

Great find! I had some trouble starting it at first, because the path was initially wrong and then a window popped up saying "some dlls are missing", but when clicking the "game.exe" directly with the right button, then chosing "run as administrator" it finally worked under vista. The bad news: I 've already wasted more time than I wanted to :)

    Nice one TCD LAN indeed!

Anyone know if this version of Tiberian Sun is LAN-ready for Windows XP etc, or will I need the thipx32.dll from strikeforce.net?
