The main Urban Dictionary def of Culchie
    http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=culchie

Originally believed to derive from the name of the town of Kiltimagh in county Mayo, it is considered a derogatory term by Dubliners. Increasingly, it is being reclaimed by the bogtrotters, much as the worldwide gay community has reclaimed the word 'gay'.
Ah, don't be listenin' to da' bleedin' tick; sue he's only a bleedin' culchie.

I much prefer this version tho
Somebody who lives in the Irish countryside. This word is used exclusively by jackeens, and so in fact means anyone from outside Dublin.
    **** off ya culchie!

    Up yours jackeen!

You're a Culchie if the burnt out images of the SuperMacs in Kilkenny brings a tear to your eye.

    Bloody Bog Warriors!!

I'm a culchie and proud of it, although whenever I go back home to the midlands I am DISGUSTED with everything, especially the unattractive people, not all perfect and sexy like me.

I do have my "HEY LOOK AT ME I'M A ****IN CULCHIE" clothing item, my hometown GAA hoodie!! YEAH!!!

I thought jackeen was because Dublin was the last county to remove the union jack flags from display and that certain dubs hung them from their property before the war of independence.

In Bali at the moment and was talking to my mother on skype on Christmas Day and she asked me "Are ya finding it difficult to get potatoes out there?".

Nearly burst me hole laughing in the internet cafe when she said it.

    Pure culchie.

As a city dweller, I find this new name alienating.

Hell, I can't even post a thread with some music with this forum topic. None of yer diddley-aye tbh.

That urban dictionary is good for a laugh alright.

Bog Warrior: Somebody from the country.

Muck Savage: Typically used by jackeens to describe anyone not living in the big smoke.

And just to show that I'm not picking on the culchies...

Jackeen : Given as how Dubliner sloved the queen some much and used waived the Union Flag when Victoria visited they are known by the rest of us true Irish people as Jackeens If it was a bag of heroin you'd catch it ya jackeen scumbag ya
